DAY CAMP OPTIONS

Day Camp is for kids ages 9 and older that want everything camp offers (meals and activities) but want to do their lodging off campus with their parents. Day campers get a $100 discount off the camp tuition price with this day-camp option.

Lodging options include the Mt Hood Inn, Collins Lake Resort, Grand Lodges or The Lodge at Government Camp - see below for details.

1. Mt Hood Inn (Best Western): Check out their website. You will need to make your own reservations with the Mt Hood Inn if you decide to stay there. You should be eligible for either the "Best Western reward rate" or the "AAA rate" (which are supposed to be the same rate). Mt Hood Inn direct number: 503-272-3205.

For those of you that might want to try camping, there are nearby camping areas including: Trillium Lake campground, Still Creek Campground, Frog Lake Campground, Clear Lake Campground, and Timothy Lake Campground. There's also the Mt. Hood Village RV Resort in Oregon.

Transportation: Many families from out of the area, choose to rent a car at the Portland airport and drive themselves around during their week of camp. If you are on the Day Camp plan and staying at the Mt Hood Inn, then our camp counselors will provide transportation for you between the Mt Hood Inn and our camp lodge for meals, afternoon activities as well as trips to and from the ski area each day. Most adults prefer to rent or use their own car. Having your own car while at camp gives you a little more freedom to come and go on your own schedule.
