ARRIVING AT CAMP BY CAR

If you are arriving by car for the full overnight camp, please arrive on Sunday to our lodge between the times of 12pm and 3pm. If you are doing our Coaching-Only program, please arrive at our lodge a little before 7pm on Sunday as that is when our orientation meeting starts.

If you plan to arrive a day early (Saturday) by car, please arrive after 4pm as Saturday is our cleaning day and the lodge/bunk rooms will not be ready before 4pm. There is a charge of $275 for Day Early Arrivals.

Aubrey Watzek Lodge is the name of the camp destination. It is also sometimes called the Boy Scouts Lodge. We have a green banner in front of the entrance used to get closest to the lodge. It is a short gravel road. The other parking lot that we house our yellow buses in is not our camp entrance.

APPLE MAPS: The location name is Aubrey Watzek Lodge. The physical address is
16000 OR-35
Mount Hood Parkdale, OR, 97041

GOOGLE MAPS: On google maps, the location name is the same (Aubrey Watzek Lodge), however the address does not appear the same. We have struggled trying to get them to update it.

If for some reason you are struggling to find us, we recommend putting in the White River West Sno-Park as this parking lot is located 100 ft from our entrance. Below are more detailed instructions on how to find us without using a navigation site:

If coming from the Portland area, stay on Highway 26 traveling east a few miles past the town of Government Camp. You will then take the Highway 35 exit towards Hood River. Once you are on Highway 35, drive 3.8 miles and look for our banner on the left side of the highway. The short gravel road will lead to our lodge entrance. If you reach the White River Sno-Park you have gone about 100 yards too far and will need to turn around.

If you are traveling up from the town of Hood River on Highway 35, we’re just past the White River Sno-Park parking lot on the right side of the highway. Again, look for our camp banner on the right side of the highway and follow the short gravel road to our lodge.

If you are traveling north on Highway 26 from the Bend/Redmond area, take the Hood River exit which puts you on Highway 35. Once you are on Highway 35, drive 3.8 miles and look for our banner on the left side of the highway. The short gravel road will lead to our lodge entrance. If you reach the White River Sno-Park you have gone about 100 yards too far and will need to turn around.

DAY EARLY ARRIVALS

For those who want to get an extra day of skiing in, we offer a day early arrival option. This means you would arrive on Saturday and get an extra day of skiing on Sunday. This extra day of skiing would not include training (gates for racers). It is simply an extra day of free skiing to help campers get accustomed to the mountain and get their legs under them for the upcoming week.

We charge a fee of $275 for day early arrivals. Travel information can be found under the arrival and departure tabs for the way you plan to travel to camp (car vs plane).
