Winter and Spring Camps

TRAINING IN THE WINTER Each winter we offer camps in December. Same great training, coaching, and facilities as summer with a few different advantages. First of all, the timing of training is perfect for those starting their race season in January. Ski racers can get excellent race training leading up to your first race. Freeskiers and snowboarders can take advantage of Timberline's highly rated terrain park and halfpipe.

TRAINING IN THE SPRING  Each spring, we offer week-long camps in April. Spring weather is highly variable from bluebird sunshine to mid-winter type storms, so come prepared for both extremes. For the racers, we typically do 1 day of drills and freeskiing, followed by 2 days of slalom, and then 2 days of GS. Snowboard freeriders and freeskiers spend their time all over the mountain taking advantage of the groomed slopes as well as the full length terrain parks and off-trail action.

During your winter or spring session, our coaches will help you to improve your skiing or snowboarding skills by teaching you the fundamentals and correct technique required for success in your particular sport. Your goals will be assessed and a safe and successful progression will be planned for you to achieve the best results. All of our coaches have strong coaching and skiing/snowboarding backgrounds and are passionate about their sport. Our coaches are here to teach you and enable you to achieve your goals, and we are always stoked to work with motivated athletes.

VIDEO: Every day we Videotape your training. Then you and your coaches get together and figure out what you can work on. Video analysis is one of the most powerful learning tools available to you and will help you achieve your goals faster. At the end of the week, you can purchase a DVD copy of your video.

AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES FOR WINTER & SPRING CAMP
Because of cooler wet weather and snowpack at the camp lodge during these months, we offer indoor related afternoon activities. One option is a trip to the Hood River sports club (about 1 hour drive) where there is an indoor rockclimbing wall, and basketball hoops. A trip to the movies/mall, might also be offered. We also have our rec room in the lodge basement where we have a pool table, ping pong, VHS movies, foosball, as well as a ski/snowboard tuning room.
